Beauty strange

by SweetDreamz   Apr 22, 2008

I've found darker things
In nicer places
I've found cherished smiles
In worn out faces.

Have you not found you angel
In amongst the death?
Flowers, candles and wings
Where corpses lay to rest.

And deep down in the ocean
Where the blue has turned to black,
Bright brilliant lights of life
Stare right back

What a peculiar place you've come from
Far too bright
Not all can live up there
Drenched in the light

And can a butterfly not fly
Though its wings splattered red?
It's beauty only a day
It's flying nearly dead!

With your mouth filling with blood,
Enough to drown your tongue,
A noose around you neck
Theres still songs to be sung.

It is in the deepest, darkest cave,
Where our candle flame burns most bright
It is kicked down and dying
where we show the most fight

It is at our hearts suicide
Where we've taken back the knife,
It is from the greatest of sufferings
where we shoe the most life.

I've seen nicer things
in the darkest of places
Ans I've found scars and tears
In the most beautiful of faces...
