Boat ride

The mother of destruction waits
on the ship of creation
she is the captain, just waiting to sail away
father time is by her side
waiting for us to board
the vessel from which we came
our journey to the ocean that has but one shore
has taken all of our lives
but the ship waiting in the harbor
will wait no more, now that we've arrived
some are on the ramp
most are on the bow
watching the horizon, and the sun set down
good bye sunshine
it was a pleasant dream
thank you for the memories
I'll keep them for eternity
