Gone With the wind

by Heba   May 1, 2008

One day, he was here.
He was so close and so near.
With him i felt no fear.
With him i felt so happy and so clear.
With him life was so happy, and wasn't so mean.
We lived together, but i didn't think once he would disappear.

He gone with the wind.
He left me here, with a painful end.
He left me with sufferings extend.
He left me with dark days i can't spend.

Oh,uncle,where did you go?
After you left, life became my foe.
Time passes so slow.
Days became black like an evil crow.
Striking me, stabbing me in the back wherever i go.

Please,uncle,come back.
Because i can't bear with this life's attack.
Because i can't bear with this destiny's smack.

And just he gone with the wind.
To far away place, and i am here alone with a pale face.

Oh uncle, i really miss you.
I still remember the days we've gone through.
Oh uncle,i would never forget you.
Until the day i die, the day that i shall see you.
The day that i shall never cry, once again on you.

And he left me alone
and gone with the wind.

This is what i wrote about my uncle:

His infinite wisdom, he never showed his pain. Each day he cried for his country of Lubnan. Too young to have a heart filled with hate, and old enough to understand why. He spoke ahead of the way he would die and called it "his calling...his fate"

A world he left to early, given wings before he could fly. Amu Ziad has gone to heaven. Now baba must be the strong one, as his family is left devastated, with tears in their eyes.

He shall shine with every sunrise, and glow with every moonlight. He loved his country...every scent, every word, and every sight. He will be the gentle breeze that shall blow through every Lebanese, as if he never said goodbye.

Until we meet again, my sweet uncle, keep shining like you have before...As your country drops her head in your honor, and prays DEATH NO MORE.

"All for the country, for the glory, for the flag"

this is written for my uncle ziad, who lived in lebanon. he has very recently passed away........the blood of another, does NOT justify the death. stop the violence and hatred...
