the day you said good-bye
the day you moved away to Lyons
the day you made me cry

It hurt so much to see you go
but there was nothing I could do
it's been awhile since you moved away
but I'm still not over you

You left an impression
a deep mark on my heart
and it made me miss you
though we were so far apart

I will never forget
those times we shared
how much your love meant
and how much I cared

I've dated since then
but it just wasn't the same
I pretended to move on
but now I'm sick of this game

The truth is I miss you
in every single way
I've longed for you to return
I've prayed for this day

Now you're back
and it's like nothing has changed
we still goof off like old times
and my love for you remains

I just wish that god
could shine down a light
and help to show me
if my feelings are right

I wish I knew how you felt
if we could ever be
but mostly I want to know
if you still love me
