Healing Words

by Purple   May 3, 2008

Words come scrambled
In fragments and parts
Words come crying
Out for kind hearts

Fragments of sections
Phrases of care
Metaphors spoken softly
Hoping some one is there

Smooth down worries
Hold broken hearts with affection
Mend wounds and erase thoughts
Take the damaged in a new direction

Put together these shattered pieces
Heal what was once whole
Caring words are like directions
To bring back ones health in full

Cuts and scratches can heal
Leaving only scar and memory
Scars left or hidden speak quietly
Whispering of past great tragedy

Walking on the healed move
Hoping for no damage
Walking on the healed move
Bracing all hope they can salvage

Hoping for safety they wonder
Looking for a home with safe walls
With wide eyes the watch fearfully
Moving fast before their hope falls
