PART ONE

I met a man the other day,
He reminded me of an old friend!
So I asked him would he stay for awhile ,
If he had a little time to spend.

He said sure I have nothing better to do ,
I've been waiting for a chance to meet !
So I offered him something cold to drink,
While he got himself a seat!

You remind me of someone I said,
But who, I just cant place !
Its on the tip of my tongue,
But its a blank when I look at your face!

You have many characteristics ,
Of someone I once knew!
But I keep on drawing a blank,
When I try to remember who!

There is something I see in you ,
I used to see in myself!
Something I lost a long time ago,
On some hidden shelf

He said , I know just what you mean , my friend!
How those things sometimes get lost.
We probably would have taken better care,
Had we just considered their cost!

Yes you're right, I said to him ,
We share many common things !
I had almost forgotten the joy ,
Those special memories brings !

I'm glad you had some time to stay,
Come by any time you want to talk.
Can i give you a ride home ?
So you don't have to walk !

No thanks he said, I live very close by,
And you can bet , I'll be back again !!!
But before I go , let me introduce myself,
I am THE MAN WITHIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just can't seem to forget about,
What the man within had said !
The impression that he left behind,
Echo's within my head 1

The picture that he painted for me ,
With just one single word !
Within , Within, A thousand times ,
Is continually heard !

Because it holds a thousand answers,
All to my minds eye.
Answers I could not find before,
He showed me where they lye !

I am nothing more than you , he said,
And we are one and the same!
But separate I am just A voice ,
And you are just A name !

Together we can do anything ,
By remaining in control ,
You are the body , and the mind!
And I am your eternal soul !

For you have seen what was before,
But not what is to come,
Just imagine the richness of our life,
When we reach our total sum !

Now as I look at life , through my minds eye,
I see what its all about!
I see before I met the man within,
I was just the man without!

PART THREE

You've been very quiet lately,
But your message still comes through !
Your silence is A strong reminder !
Of what I've done to you.

I could say that I'm sorry ,
But that you already know !
I feel the only compensation ,
Is to let you run this show !

Sorry is not A description,
Of my feelings of remorse,
But the value of the outcome,
When I'm the pilot of our course !

When you are in control,
You follow the light from the tower !
You always manage to guide me through,
The darkness of the hour !

You give advise, that I ignore,
But you hang on , And ride it through !
I feel so foolish when I realize,
I should have listened to you !

You're such A loyal teacher,
You do what ever it takes !
You're even with me when its time,
To suffer from my mistake's !

It seems you always care for me,
I could not want for A better friend !
Than the one thats always there for me,
The one I call , THE MAN WITHIN

THE BRIGHTEST DIAMOND
PART FOUR

Hello my friend, It is nice to see you again,
I'm glad you're always near by!
To be with you in my hour of need ,
Blocks the teardrops, from my eye !

I have some Questions I must ask of you ,
My curiosity I am unable to tame !
Why are you so much greater than I ,
When we are ONE AND THE SAME !

And how is it you are capable,
Of accomplishing so much !
I give it my ALL , in what i do ,
But I'm outdone , By your gentle touch !

You see, he said, My knowledge is gained ,
From our father up above !
For what is right , is not always done by might ,
But by A continuous flow of love !

When planting the fertile seeds of life,
A gentle touch is all you need !
So save the mighty strength you have,
To destroy life's deadly greed !

And if we come upon something new,
And of its virtue, we do not know,
We will call out to our father above,
And the answers , to us , he will show !

That is why he gave me to you,
To be with you inside !
To help you with those inner thoughts,
This command I must abide !

For without me you're not worth as much,
As A tiny lump of coal !
Because A man is worthless,
Without his eternal soul !

GOD has united us to follow him,
Upward we must keep climbin,
When we receive what he has in store for us ,
Our life will sparkle, like THE BRIGHTEST DIAMOND
