I won't go down like this.

by Helene   May 4, 2008

Dancing on needles
The truth another lie,
Can you see the cage around me,
Invisible to the eye?
Trying to break these jail bars
Closing in on me,
Suffocating from inside,
Yearning to break free.

Bloodless hearts are beating,
Hollow words are judging me,
Forming yet another world,
Of dictators to kiss.
All these hatches are eating,
Feasting on my captive soul,
And thus I whisper in the dark,
I wont go down like this.

I will not let them tame me,
And tell me how to taste,
My grin might be more bittersweet,
But its real unlike their paste.
I will not cry surrender,
And let them write my tale,
I will though find a way for me,
To free me from this jail.

So as I dance on needles,
And learn another lie,
Theres nothing here to shed a tear,
Inside these rebel-eyes.
As hatches rip my heart out,
I grand my poison kiss,
And swear as whisper in the dark,
I wont go down like this.

This was very deep. I 've never read any kind of work like yours before. Great job!
