Molly's Poem

by Crippled Wing   May 7, 2008

*This was the first poem I ever wrote in 2005, it's about my dog who died suddenly*

You were my companion, my pride and my joy.
But most of all you were my friend,
the friend that has met the end.
It's funny how fate is,
how it just took you out like that,
yet fate led you into my arms
in the first place,
when I saw your face.
I know you're not gone,
I still see you every day,
but then you fade away.
I feel your warmth on the
most frightening nights,
where the wind howls,
and the lightning strikes.
I know I will meet you once again,
in the Heavens above,
where all things end.
But until then,
I will hear you whisper in the wind,
I will feel your warmth the cold,
but most of all
I will see you spirit fly high in the midnight skies.
I will love you for always dead or alive!
