Living without showing emotion
is like swimming in the ocean,
no matter how hard you try,
you just can't seem to cry,
you're cutting yourself deep inside,
you feel like you're living a lie.
To everyone else you seem the same,
but in reality you're living each day in shame.
You look in the mirror and you live in fear
of what's to come of your day,
you hate yourself,
but you can't seem to get away!
To everyone you seem fine,
no worries, no reason to whine,
but you're hurting so bad
without any way of showing,
because you're living without emotion.
You're desperately searching for a release,
but you always find yourself down on your knees!
You sit in a dark corner so you can cry,
so you don't show you're breaking inside,
but you know one day the world will know
the story of the lonely girl who showed no emotion...
for her whole life she had been swimming in that ocean.
