The Pleasure of Disillusionment

by vaibhav shah   May 8, 2008

I had cherished a dream
A dream which consisted of
A Romantic love
Full of care for his companion
An idealist soul
Transforming the facts into fantasy
An unknown journey
Showing the path of colourful flowers
A beautiful illusion
That could make me happy forever
But......
Thanks to Disillusionment
Providing a new perspective
To view the life in a different way
To judge the beauty
That one had never perceived
To love someone
Who had not been loved
To find interesting
Which was once considered absurd

Though unexpected
Your aftermaths are worth enjoying
Full of bitterness but more challenging
The life of illusion is short living
But your symptoms are everlasting.

The only grammatical thing I can see is just at the end, perhaps 'short lived' instead of 'short living'? Otherwise this poem is good, it's weird to follow in the beginning, but otherwise well penned. Good job!
