Little Does She Know..

by She Is My Rain   May 8, 2008

And inside she thinks
No one knows the rhythm
Of her heart.
Or how she feels
When the rain hits a part
Of her tear stained face.

Little does she know
I've always known
That the rhythm of her heart
Is the beat of ours conjoined.
And the feeling she gets with
The rain is one I've known so well.
That of peace and no pain.

She feels as if
She's alone in this world
With no one to call her own.
Or that no one understands
What she's all about.

Little does she know
I've always been there
Walking by her side
And there to help her up
When she's fallen.
And that no one on this earth
Could know her better then I.

And she thinks
Her wings are broken,
Clipped by such evil.
And that the weight of the world
Wont support her
but drag her down
That jagged cliff.

Little does she know
I'll be there to hold her hand
To help her fly
To help her land.
And I'd take the weight of the world
And keep it as my own.
I'd do anything just to see that smile.

Little does she know
Her presence, her sheer existance
Keeps me here.
The way she shines so bright
Makes me crave her more.
And her soft touch
Always leaves me weak in the knees.

Little does she know
She's the one
That's always had my heart.
And for that
I'll always lover her
And she'll always be
My light at the end of the tunnel.
