Speak

by ♥£♂t♂∟ΩkI§§♥   May 9, 2008

Far inside my troubled heart
A secret lies, so deep and dark
Once so innocent, nevermore
My body, my soul, you have explored.

Shall I speak, reveal this hate
I have for you, is it to late?
Shall I speak, would they believe
The innocence you took from me?

Knowing you for not a day
You asked me to come this way
Soon your hands all over me
On the ground, i tried to flee
Running away so very far
Not knowing these wounds forever scar.

Once I fled, by phone I dialed,
In high school I was exiled.
No more friends, they hated me
But if I speak will I be free?
Will they believe?
If I speak will it relieve all the pain and misery?

---I wrote this poem on a book i read called Speak. Its based on a middle school girl who was raped at a huge popular high school party and called the cops to bust up the party so entering high school everyone hated her and no one talked to her. When she finally had the courage to tell her friend (who happened to be dating the guy who raped her) the friend didn't believe her.. I think every girl should read this book whether they have been sexually harassed or not.---
