There once was an angel ((fastforward to rewind))

Alien words
escape from bloodied lips
throat raw from screaming
and blood rushes from her fingertips

Screams out against God
and she knows it's wrong
but she's so angry...hating it all
hates ever word, every song

No one hears her,
and the bitterness returns
hates herself, hates the world
wants it all to goddam burn

And what's sick and twisted is she doesn't know why,
she hasn't a freaking clue,
all she knows, deep down inside
is red pain's what replaced the dark blue

Every breath she takes,
she knows it's a a goddam lie
all she wants, is what she can't have
no longer can she even cry

----REWIND----

There once was an angel with wings
who had all the loveliest things
most beautiful songs she would sing
and through the silence they'd ring

She had the most beautiful heart
ne'er tainted by pain's poisoned dart
til one day the world fell apart
and reality quickly did start

And
she
fell
down
screaming
