Depression

Don't care about life; it's a waste of time.
Every breath I take doesn't feel like mine.
People never notice when things go wrong,
Reasons never spoken of why my truth is gone.
Excitement, love, smiles, and laughter have died,
Sadness, crying, and depression are what I must hide.
Standing with a crowd, yet I feel so alone,
I often wonder if my emotions have turned to stone...
Oh, what I would give to be honest again,
No more fake smiles would I use to deceive my friends.
