Smile for the camera

by Angel Demetrice   May 12, 2008

An empty smile,
with an empty soul,
that darkness could so defile,
what was once whole.

an blood run cold,
cold as ice,
darkness took away the fire,
the air,
the light.

now we see the darkness,
surface from a smile,
that burns the light,
and scorches it black.

that smile so cold,
it took my fire,
my heart,
my soul,

so now i smile an empty smile,
with an empty soul,
that darkness could so defile,
what I had once had whole.
