Silent Screams *

by Erica   May 12, 2008

She cries out for help but no one cares to listen
Her eyes used to sparkle, now they'll never glisten
He took her body and tore it apart
Never did she know she'd have a bleeding heart

It happens to a lot of girls in the world
She never thought she'd be one of them
After it happened she ran, cut and hurled
She yelled "no" and "stop" constantly
He could care less and just turned the cheek
Her soul had become weak, she could barely speak

What this monster had done took a toll on her life
This caused a lot of grief and a lot of strife
Depression came and knew her name
In her eyes now she is low and dirty
But the bastard is the one to blame
You wouldn't think someone you love would take it that far
He dug a deeper hole and created another scar

My friend was gone that day in every way
She changed, lost dignity and pride
Her self-esteem was set aside
Days went by, seasons changed
I needed to help my friend
They diagnosed her "deranged"

She brought herself to it
I wasn't there to help and
Suicide she did commit
I miss her, she was my sister
The guy got locked up for 5 years
But he still brought puddles of tears
He did not change at all
Nothing will stop him
Not even a wake up call

She is up above now and I know she is looking down
What a wonderful person she was
Her heart was filled with joy, she never liked to frown
If I had one wish, it would be to see her
Another would be to create a huge time machine
And make all of this hell stop and not occur
