Time

by My Obsεssion   May 27, 2004

It is what borne us into this world
And it is what takes us from it.
It runs all throughout our life
From beginning to end.

It is the backbone
Of this life you live and create.
It is the clockwork running behind it all
Making sure to push your life along.

It is with you at birth,
Through adolescence and puberty,
Adulthood and old age,
It is with you at death.

It is amazing how one little change in it
Produces totally different
And incomprehensibly
New results.

When you are younger you wish for less of it,
You want to grow up right away,
But when you’re older you wish for more,
To go back and relive your younger days.

Time is one of the cruelest ironies in the world.
It brings life, it brings death,
It brings joy, it brings pain
And one moment in time can change your life forever.

Time does not begin anew
At the dawn of a new day.
Oh no,
No it does not.

Time is an ever-living,
Never resting,
Immortal creature
That’s influence can be seen wherever you look.
