Ballerina ((and your feet bleed))

by StandStill   May 15, 2008

Ballerina dancer
winged little feet
sparks explode on the ground
every time toe and floor meet

Don't you want to be like her,
be amazing just for once?
pity you're crying in the corner,
you sad stupid little dunce

She's got such angel wings
makes hardest hearts cry
oh, jealousy consumes you,
when you remember you want to die

Do you think this is stupid?
just another poem screaming "not enough"
hearts torn apart by metal
by vague day-to-day stuff

You stumble to your feet,
want to dance like her,
tie silken threads around your legs,
feeling gleeful pleasure

You put yourself on point,
but the blood comes spilling down,
no dancing, not for you,
tonight you'll cry when no one's around

Smile e'er so gracefully,
and sit back on the floor,
envy burns into your veins,
watch ballerina twirl once more

    Marvelous poem.

    <you sad stupid little dunce>

Alas! LOL, that made me laugh. :) It's not sorrowful, :( but I presume as such for I haven't laughed in a while. :)

    Lovely poem.
