Trip

by mark swaggerty   May 17, 2008

When i woke up this mourning i put on my clothes.
running fast i kick the couch and broke 3 of my toes.

i punched a hole in the wall, today was going to be hell,
with one more tardy to class i was going to fail.

the last thing i remember was seeing a bus,
then awaking to a heated fuss.

the medics where fighting over what happen to me,
"was hit by an ford", the other said that couldn't be.

"well he's not wearing shoes and his toes are broke,
fist started to fly and they didn't realize a had awoke.

a quick shove i rolled out the back door,
i really started to soar.

landing on the hood of a car,
i though "Lucky me" but that wouldn't go far.

with a loud screech of the tires i slid across the street,
i hobbled around picking my ass for pieces of concrete.

raised the only finger i could as they continued to drive,
thanking God i was still alive.

i decided to take an ally the rest of the way,
to avoid any more danger for the rest of the day.

when i came face to face with this huge dogs stare,
he snatched my leg, i heard a pop and saw it tear.

the dog soon got tiered of my flesh and was gone.
i went to rest on an old man's lawn.

I set there and accepted i was going to be tardy,
then i remembered i was hitting Acid at my grad party!
