Shadowed Path of the Lonely

by lisabrighteyes   May 17, 2008

So cold, so barren is his land
Thrust into it by other hands.
His heart is numb, his spirit frozen
Yet his mind's aware, of the shadowed path chosen.
He wanders on, nothing worth his keep.
He wanders on to the deep.
Plunging in to the depths beyond,
Forever singing his sullen song.
Yet nobody is there to hear
His song of troubles, his song of fear.
Stumbling on, to the dark he knows
Does nobody care, where he goes?
