Vodoo Magic

by thesuffocationinsafety   May 18, 2008

My dream starts out so misty
but I clearly can see you
I believe you're all alone...
but wait- there's someone new

An old and pitiful rag doll
with scraggly corn silk hair
she lays on the floor beside you
with a cold, emotionless stare

How she came to be here?
thats something I dont know..
but the air tastes stale, the ground feels damp
and her heartbeat sounds to slow..

I feel there's something wrong here
But I let the dream still play
maybe I need to see this
for my confusion to go away..

So I watch as you pick her up
and with a knife, you slice her arm
you whisper in her ear
"I promise you no harm"

Her blood runs slowly from her veins
but you don't seem to care
You smile slyly to yourself
and she whispers, "Lets play fair"

I guess you didn't hear her
because you take the blade once more
you stab her in the heart
then drop her to the floor

You laugh, and stomp on her
then you kick and scream and yell
don't you even notice that
you're putting her through hell?

I long so much to be numb
because I'm starting to feel her pain
there's some voodoo magic in the air
and its getting harder to contain

Why doesn't she fight back?
and strangely, why do I?
the connection grows between us-
we're both about to die

With seconds on the clock
my head begins to spin
I see in your eyes, the truth
its finally sinking in..

I am the old and pitiful rag doll
with the scraggly corn silk hair
I'm bleeding on the floor beside you
with a cold, emotionless stare..
