It Feels Like I've Wasted A Lifetime Loving You.

by Courageous Dreamer   May 18, 2008

I spilled my heart out, It seems like I gave it all I had.

But, as I look back. I didn't give it a shot. I didn't give it everything I had. I just wasted my lifetime loving you.

I've broken my own heart, on my own.

You never did anything to break my heart, in fact, we never were together.

I feel so stupid, looking back and regretting all the time i've wasted.

All the time I've wasted looking at the clock, thinking of you, the hours I've wasted loving you are endless.

All this time I've wasted, I'll never get back again.

All those times I cried thinking I wasn't good enough, and realizing I'm still not, I'll never get back ever again, no matter how hard I try.

I feel like a failure, like I accomplished nothing.

I feel like all this time I wasted, I'm regretting now.

I had my chances, and I never took them.

And now, I'm left with nothing.

You never liked me back, but my mind kept telling me to keep going, because someday something may just happen.

And as people say, Follow your heart. So thats what I did.

As time went on, nothing happened. Go figure.

I was so stupid for ever loving you that first second.
And now, It feels like I've wasted a lifetime loving you.

    A tad inconsistent with capitalization.

I'm sure you did this on purpose to make a point, but I don't think the repetition with the waisted time did much for the poem.

I felt this poem should have been written little different. When I read it and went back to type something so I didn't forget, when I came back I had a hard time finding where I left off because a lot of the lines seemed like they were just saying the same thing. Try put in a little variety in your poem and you should improve greatly. :)
