Breaking Dawn

The dark has long stained my sight
I've seen only a moonless night
Only known black, not white
Known no joy, only fright.

The dark has forever been here
It hasn't just moved in from near
It gives me the strength to fear
And the strength to cry even a single tear.

The dark has always stood here, cold and forlorn
But now that I know true love
To open my eyes, i have the strength
To view this beautifully breaking dawn,,

Love conquers all.
