These Four Walls

by Syrus   May 20, 2008

Inside these four walls I find a comfort
Almost like I could live here forever
Something about this room
With all the hatred that has been unleashed
With all the memories that were relived
Wagging wars with myself
Questioning my existence in life
Seething pain rips me apart
All within these four walls
This room where I find comfort in,
Pacing back and forth day after day
Late nights sobbing till sunrise
Screams that all can hear
Pounding the floors in rage
All within these four walls
This room where I find comfort in,
Mental insanity gripping the mind
A fading heart brought to the edge,
Till no more can be taken,
It took one swift blow...
Looking through the hollowness
An epiphany starts to take place
There is more beyond outside,
Outside these four walls
This room where I find comfort in,
Tears run down like rain
Blood leaving its familiar taste
Aching soreness flows over
Time stops for no man
But for that one moment,
For in that moment, sat a horizon
Life was being started over
Fear is stricken away
Hopelessness is forgotten
Confusion becomes delusional,
All within these four walls
This room where I find comfort in...
