Monotony

by Sourav   May 21, 2008

All are the same; just they are same
They look identical, look like machines
All play same game; with the same name
Mix of connatural talks, and the same means

All are the same; they are so tame
They go through same street, achieve same goal
All to snatch the money; money is no shame...
Inconvertible thoughts and covetous souls

All are the same; yes they are same
Likewise smile, similitude countenance
All are so lame; bound by same frame
In an axis like ants, paralyzed by pretense

Is there anyone different? And little indifferent?
Holding other perception, learning different tune
Surviving this dent; brushing a new paint
Insusceptible by this infection, ardently immune.

Although it felt like some words were missing in places, I really like this poem. The language is brilliant (had to look up a few words though, haha) and I like the repitition of 'all are the same', found it really effective at getting your point across. I really got the point you were making, great work.

It is quite monotonous to have to see the same things day in and day out. I kind of related that there are so many people that are alike and it so difficult to find a genuine person now days. Fortunately there are some people that genuinely have hearts of gold.
    Take Care,
