Fence

by Bored One   May 26, 2008

It was a clear spring day,
Birds were chirping to a blooming flower,
I could feel the sun's healing ray,
As I sat trapped in my tower,

I waited ten years,
For this day to come,
Passing all fears,
And destroying some,

He strands in front of me,
I charge to attack,
I need a strategy,
I go for the back,

I hit him in the head,
He flinched a little,
He starts glowing red,
He seems more brittle,

I run away,
As he thrashes around,
I shout hurray,
As I take him down,

It was over,
Or so I thought,
I take cover,
But I am still caught,

A new figure,
Stands to oppose me,
I shall not linger,
But it attacks freely,

It takes some time,
But I finally take it down,
For it's heinous crime,
Against my town,

It flashes a light,
The end of a fight,
All is at peace,
I pray it to never cease.
