Again

There she sits in the corner
Hugging herself as she tries to keep warm
Holding his sweatshirt close around her
In an attempt to shut out the chill
But it is on the inside
A dull ache that wont go away
For so long she was so happy
And she knows she will be happy again
But for right now this is all she knows
Because she misses him
And her only wish is to be with him again
Counting down the days
Wondering and hoping for the next time
That they will share a few minutes again
She knows that she is doing the right thing
Listening to what they tell her to do
Because that is the way it always has been
And will be for a little longer still
But that doesnt make this any easier
She wishes the sun would stop shining
Because it seems to stay there
Mocking her inability to smile
Shell sit there for a little longer
Trying to get over this feeling of fear
She knows that he will wait for her
That he loves her with all his heart
But shes been hurt so many times before
Been forgotten when she shouldve been kept close
And even though he has made her life bright
Teaching her heart how to beat again
She still has those doubts and the hurts to remember
It is always so hard to fully forget them
And trust him to be there when all this is over
But she does trust him
She has handed him her heart
And she knows he wont throw it away
So shell sit here for as long as it takes
For them to be together again
And shell close her eyes and remember his smile
The way he looked into her eyes
Looking right into her heart
And how her world stopped when he kissed her
The last time they were together
He loves her
She loves him
And someday, soon
Theyll be together again
