Advice to myself ((Shut up))

Shut up and control the crying,
be a big girl the way they want.
Pretend you're comfortable in your skin,
be prepared to flaunt.

Keep quiet, hold the tears,
another nightmare, you'll be ok.
You just need to make it through tonight,
just need to survive another day.

Take every compliment and reciprocate,
bite down and swallow their lies.
Keep your chin up high in the air,
and never let them see your eyes.

Truth is a waste of precious time,
just tell them a fib or two.
Most importantly, always remember...
nobody actually loves you for you.
