We Where The Mask

We where the mask,
every hour on every day,
Don't know why without it,
we feel out of place,

Putting on a phony smile
and a phony laugh too,
knowing all along,
what we all go through,

Lost love, depression, insecurities
these things can make us strong,
Because we can only hide
behind the mask for so long,

One day we'll be fine,
and no one will even have to ask,
what seems so different about us,
but until then, we where the mask
