Warmth

by ALEX   Jun 1, 2008

There's no comfort in
the white noise of
the hallways for me.

The pressure builds
inside my head
and pulls me down.

I would like
to settle within your arms;
to gently share your warmth.

There's no comfort, for me.
This awkward stage
of sentiment is dull.

The altitude of
false hopes raining
ever-softly on my head.

And so I'd love
to sleep within your arms;
For us to keep each other warm.
