Only You

by Tammie   Jun 1, 2008

It's only you that brings out the best in me,
And only you that can say those words so delicately,
With that bit of extra love on the side, you make me smile,
Making sure I believe your every word and hold onto it,
Knowing that you can only stay for a little while.

It's only you that brings out the worst in me,
And only you that can put meaning between the lines
Pressing pages together so tight they'll never come unglued,
Then it's the insides that can never be expressed again.
Those words can never be told or felt or reviewed.

And now it's only you that brings out the pain in me,
With the memories still so fresh in my mind of every moment,
And every spot we sat in or kissed or you playfully pulled my hair undone,
But now you're sitting there, kissing her, playing with her and
Saying all those words you said to me, when you said I was your only one.
