The Ballrooms of Heaven ((sweet dreams))

by StandStill   Jun 1, 2008

On the silent lillac breeze
comes the promise of sweet dreams.
Empty worries float away,
held aloft by words like these.

Hush your trembling lips,
let the silence close your eyes.
Sweet Dreamer, calm your heart.
There's no more need to cry.

Fall into this bed of starlight
Where the moon becomes a pillow for your head.
Fairy kisses and pixie tricks,
all the "good nights" have been said.

On the silent lillac breeze
comes the promise of sweet dreams.
Empty worries float away,
held aloft by words like these.

Float away to the land of Nod,
where stars dance in the ballrooms of heaven.
Just close your eyes and calm your breath...
breathe out, my dear, and breathe in

Float away on this silent lillac breeze.
Sweet dreams, my dear. Rest your head.
Falling under the ocean of starlight...
Time to sleep, darling, "good nights" have all been said.
