Truth: Another Weekend

by Mary   Jun 2, 2008

The green fog
Falls
Over the field
And us
Everyone is quiet
No one even dares to answer
Hiding out
From parents and 5-0
The only sound
Is the
Burning of the bowl
And clicks of lighters
Now we walk
Towards town
Finding
Another party
Home team win
Parties all around
See someone we know
And walk in
Keg sitting
In the door
With cups on top
An all you can drink buffet
Get some drinks
Dance around
Flirt
Jam with the music
The sweet bitter
Taste
Of the hard drinks
Shocking my mouth
The dry
Dizzy feeling
Of the pill
Someone gave me
See someone
Hot
Call him upstairs
And hit the lights
His hot breath on my neck
Gives me
Tingles
All over
We go too far
Another one to regret
He cleans himself up
And leaves
Everything dies
Down
My friends have
All left here
I go to leave
See if I can find them
They moved,
Found a different party
The same thing
Happens
Same mistakes
Keep getting made
A continuously
Annoying cycle
That is made
Every weekend
