The One Thing That Lasts Forever

When we first met,
My heart already knew...
We were meant to be together,
I would fall in love with you.

Not even the heavens and space,
Can break me away from you,
It'll only be a matter of time,
When we will be saying,"I do."

When I say you're the only one,
I mean it from the bottom of my heart,
Nothing will ever come between us,
I know that we will never again part.

People try to bring me down,
Fill my head up with their lies,
But, I know their words are untrue,
I will love you even after I die.

You have always been there for me,
Even when the world turned its back,
You let me know that true love,
Is no longer something I lack.

Many say that nothing will ever last,
Eternal love is impossible for whomever,
But that's because they don't know us,
The one thing that lasts forever.

    Meeps!!!! KAYLA!!!! Ack. it's so flurgin adorable. lol. I've been avoiding love poems a lot lately, but this was so sweet and sincere. I loved the stanza about heaven and space and how it can't tear you apart. that's so sweet and just a wonderful thought, that you'll have somebody forever. the only thing is: Kayla Marie, you better invite me to your wedding. *nods* LOL. I love you Kayla and I'm so glad to see you so happy. <3333
