On the edge ((of a cliff))

by StandStill   Jun 6, 2008

Falling into permanent nasuea,
a little blood, a couple lies.
Impermanent surroundings
cast down by blood-shot eyes.

She was on the edge of another cliff,
flung off into the greedy winds...
and yet someone reached out for her
and saw beyond her sins.

Took her home and saved her,
told her lies of the gentle kind.
Sheltered from reality,
insanity fled far from her mind.

And the little blood, the couple of lies,
it all fled away with the morning's song.
How far into the sea would they fly?
Would they stay away for long?

Back into the scene enter the lies,
blood floats away on the forgotten sea.
She tries to hold on to what she's got,
but silently slips off into memory.

No one to save her on the edge of this cliff,
first stranger, he's flown so far away.
Takes one deep breath and takes her last step,
hurtling off into the grey.
