Choices [finding meaning]

by thesuffocationinsafety   Jun 6, 2008

Sitting, starring at blank walls
hearing echoes in the halls
hiding- scared to death
patiently, hold your breathe

Debating over choices
getting input from the voices
-you're seeking out a purpose
because you know you're not worthless

First, accept what is right
find meaning in the light
then, understand the wrong
- a nightmare far too long

Either path you chose
theres something good you lose
but you're tired of your life being fake
so you see which path you must take

You start shivering far too violently
and screaming oh so silently
when you realize the end is near
your body's stiff with fear

You shouldn't be so scared
your heart is so impaired!
the end would do you good
like you know it would

Still, you wish to keep going on
to see the light of morning dawn
and not that which is passing
for death to you, is everlasting

But you know what is to come
the feeling, terribly numb
it will take your pain away
turn the colors into Grey

With your final breath you speak
as a tear rolls slowly down your cheek
"I never gave up until the end,
but I see now, Death is my friend."
