Now I walk Alone

by gasping for air   May 30, 2004

Now I walk alone.
Along quiet, lonely streets.
No love, no caring received from you.
You say,
"Why should I care any more?"
And I cry.

Someone else has come and taken your place.
I miss you!
The you I knew back...
...when we were one.
...when we loved one another.
...when you cared.

You've gone away now.
To another home.
Some say you've found another.
But I don't care.
We'll always be one in part of my heart.

You've gone away forever now.
And I miss you a little less.
You'll always have a piece of my heart.
Though I doubt you\'ll want it.

You and I were one once,
But no more.
Now I must walk lonely, quiet streets alone until...
...another comes.
He will love me for me and I'll be happy again,
For a little while at least.

I'll love you forever.
My first love.
My sweet heart.
Handsome and sweet.
But mean and cruel too.
I will love you forever.
You know who you are.
