Those Three Words

This isn't a poem, more of a conversation between me and my dearest friend.

Girl: Why don't you ever say "I love you" to me?

Guy: ...(looks down and away)

Girl: Say something to me already! we have been together for so long now and you yet to say it once ever to me. I say it to you all the time. you know what I am leaving you...

Guy: Wait!!! It's just not that I don't want to say it to you, it's just I'm afraid to say it to you. You understand?

Girl: Some what but explain it to me

Guy: I know you mean it to me when you say those words to me. I just don't to be like the other guys and fret those words carelessly and not mean it. I know deep in my heart I want to say it but my mind says no! For I am afraid that I might lose you if i say those words.

Girl: Nonsense! I love you! See it's not that hard

Guy: ...(Looks up and stares in her eyes)

Girl: Uh...

Guy: I love...(Girl places her finger on his mouth)

Girl: Don't say it...

Guy: Wh...Why?

Girl: Because I can see it in your eyes...I've been so blind and finally realize that you love me all this time...

Guy: I'm sorry that I can't say those words to you so easily honey...but..."I...I Love You..."

Girl: ((gasps) smiles and cries) Never knew it be so beautiful to hear those words from you...

Guy: (Wipes her tears) There there, no need to cry know, but you understand know why it's so hard for me to express those words to you know?

Girl: (Nods)

Guy: (gets close and kisses her) Sorry I made you worry about this...promise you I won't make you doubt my love for you ever again.

I know this is kinda long...but just want to let the girls out there that just because he doesn't say those three words, doesn't mean he loves you...so bare with him ok?
