Killing Love

by David ODonnell   Jun 9, 2008

Burning time through flames of blue
My blackened heart amazes you
Though fires burns for love so bright
Our love flame dies out tonight

Corpse of life but yet still living
Gave it all and kept on giving
But not enough to keep you cool
I burned so bright and played the fool

My hands are cold upon your face
That loving touch has gone to waste
All those miles I walked are gone
All those lies of turning you on

Sadistic smiles and evil grin
The pain you gave was not my sin
Painfull thoughts still bleed my mind
Of what I had and left behind

Safe in knowing nothings wrong
Kept in the dark and for so long
When you were tired and had enough
You put an end to killing love
