Time & Sorrow

by David ODonnell   Jun 9, 2008

Hold this glass of time and sorrow
Till thy demise of late tomorrow
Should it break before we meet
Repeat the words 'It Is Complete'

The sands of time are grains of me
That catch the wind and drift slowly
Through the air of dust and rain
As it flows like blood through vains

Sorrow holds the key of D
A minor chord and sad melody
A piece of music written to life
To repersent the pain and strife

The bottle glass was an empty shell
Displayed my body through times of hell
Its hollow skin is broken easy
Just like my heart that was treated sleazy

So hold this glass of time and sorrow
And wait for me untill tomorrow
This fragile thing is in your grasp
Untill tomorrow for my last gasp
