The Morning Star

by David ODonnell   Jun 10, 2008

In the world I have been waiting for centuries hesitating,
Holding back the river of fire
In the world I am created my livelihood is jaded
By those who judge with will and conspire

In time I will have faded through minds that I have aided
Through thorns I will be placed in your side
Left long and you will suffer the pain I have to offer
The haven you were promised inside

I can see them falling into emptiness they fear
Shadows overtaking becomes my true awakening premier
Am I the angel that has fallen from heaven
Living descretly lives and unwritten tales
Bold words have scorned me with their prayers I will fail
No one has ever saw the Morning Star
