Thank You

Waiting for the cure
While I sit over here
Wondering and thinking
If it will ever happen

But I still believe
if I lose hope, I'll lose me
Without God, I'd die
So every night I pray:

Thank you for heaven
Thank you for life
For the strife to find the light
When I want to stay in the dark

Thank you for hope
Thank you for strength
For the idea that life goes on
Even with all this pain

So when they find a cure
I know just who to thank
For not just saving my life
But teaching me how to pray
