You Don't Care, You've Never Even Heard Of Honesty

by La La xx Beth   Jun 10, 2008

You don't care.
You never really have.
You'll show it once in a while,
But I know it's fake.
The truth;
you wouldn't know honesty
If it hit you in the face.
The lies that keep running off your tongue,
It's amazing you can keep track.

You won't talk
Unless I'm the one starting.
I have to think of topics and topics to talk about,
Just so I can get a simple sentence out of you.

When I needed you,
Were you there?
No, you were too busy with
'More important' things.
When I felt disconnected from the world,
Did you talk to me about it?
Hardly.
I'm so sick of feeling like this.
And I'm so done of listening to you.
Did you ever think I might be feeling
Lonely too?

From now on,
When you need a friend,
Don't call me.
When you want to feel loved,
Don't bother speaking to me.
When you want to be happy,
Forget it.
I'll only make you feel worse.

I need to move on.
I need to be better.
I need to get away from you.

You don't care.
You never really have,
And you never really will.

Right, I'm starting to think we dated the same boy! Every poem is perfect for me haha. Great poem, very emotive and strong. Your flow is always great. I've added you to my favourites.
