Wasn't the one

by Lemonbread   Jun 12, 2008

We sit beside each other awkwardly
As we stare into each others eyes I see
A love once there but now theres hate
The feeling I feared until this date

I rush to the bathroom and run the water
And I begin to cry for an hour and a quarter
If this isn't enough, I can hear the voice again
Reminding me of the heart break and pain

He didn't understand, he wasn't the one
He thinks I did something I hadn't done
He can go on believing, its almost okay
Even though I feel my life fade away

Still, we need to remember the good times and bad
There weren't to many though, thats kind of sad
And though it seems away I am cast
I'm happy I'm finally free at last

The imagery and feeling in this poem is immense! Every line had such meaning and came straight from your heart. I loved this part:

"A love once there but now theres hate
The feeling I feared until this date"

Good job and take care! :)
