Nice Gift

Let us go my love,
I wish to see you by my side,
We can walk down the familiar street,
Or join the parties of the bright night,

We can go anywhere,
Just you and me,
We'll never be apart,
What do you mean I'm wrong?

How can you do this to me?
I thought you loved me,
I guess I'm always wrong,
Don't try to explain to me,

For so long we have been together,
Now you wish to just leave me alone?
So close we were,
That we share the same heart,

Now you are gone,
You took my heart with you,
It beats there next to yours,
But you just ignore it,

Is this what love is?
This pain in my soul,
Is this what men pine for?
This fate worse than Hell?

God, I ask you one thing,
Why did you curse humanity with love?
This obsession for what will never be?
This pain for one who does not share it?

It is a gift,

A gift you say,
Well call me a sinner,
Call me unholy,
But you suck at picking gifts,

I see her now,
She looks very happy,
With another man,
How can this be?

She has moved on,
Forgot about me,
But I still lover her,
I can't believe what has happened,

Hello,

I hear a familiar voice,
I turn to see an old friend,
She smiles softly at me,
Then tenderly asks for my heart,
Nice gift
