Sunrise

by The Herald   Jun 13, 2008

Thousands running through the trees

fire burning a path through the madness

steel glinting from hidden sheathes

rushing toward the ending

our hearts set ablaze in the ice of the night

foes fall through training and hate

and through it all

we carry on, our hearts bound together with pain

naught can separate without death's stain

and from the sunrise comes the answer

our cry comes together,

voices scream as one,

strengths melding together

forming a whole

and through it all

we carry on, our hearts bound together with pain

naught can separate without death's stain

and from the sunrise comes the answer

the job is done, our hour is over

bound together as such brothers in arms

strangers no longer we will carry the burden with strength from each other

our lives enriched by our acts

and through it all

we carry on, our hearts bound together with pain

naught can separate without death's stain

and from the sunrise comes the answer
