I Do

by Michael D Nalley   Jun 15, 2008

Remember when we said I do?
Did we know what we would go through?
No altar in front, behind us no pew
Yet, I swore before God I would love you

Could words do it, or were the best words taken
Vows are made with words if I am not mistaken
Did we have joy, did we have fun?
Did we have our seasons in the sun?

When we said I do was it His will?
Or was it love we would latter kill
Will we clothe our nakedness before God?
Do you think the Lord sees our facade?

Some say I do, while others say I will
The dust of our past is settling still
Is it possible that our words became undone?
Or were we ever meant to live our lives as one?

Short yet sweet and to the point. Questions that may only be answered by two people.

    Very good (:

Very good. Shows how people can jump into things before they know what it's all about. I liked when you said "vows are made with words" that sent a very strong message to me. Flow for me though was a little shaky. But still a solid 4/5
