This Kiss

by Jemma   Jun 15, 2008

It's more or less the same as nothing on this earth,
But I suppose your kiss is like moonlight
A caring, doting visage smiling with such power
Blinding in the darkness and graceful in the night

Dark, and intoxicating,
Leading me into visions of other-worldly splendour
And sweet memories I had settled into an abyss
Never to reawaken
Except now with your kiss

It's a surge of excitement, held tight behind closed eyes
A blend of confident exploration bound in frailty
And a smile or a laugh that slips so soundly from our lips

It's more or less the same as nothing on this earth,
But I could say it is a little like a panther stealing away
What is it but my breath that you have taken away?

    Whew!
    Fortunate, poetic girl....
What a nice treat to read on a June aafternoon..

I, on the other hand, lost my breath the moment I laid eyes on him, and didn't really start breathing again Until we kissed... 3 months later...
    just thought you'd appreciate that....
(32 years and I Still get breathless now and then...'-)
