Fate

Looking around you realise,
That things can change for the good and the bad.
There is nothing you can do to stop the fact,
That fate takes its place no matter what,
But sooner or later something has got to give,
And hope reappears and tramples the previous dark year,
The heavens have given us one more chance,
As fate changes its course that night,
So this year is my greatest gift,
And I'm going to take it with both hands,
And I'll cherish it for always.
