By His Name

by StandStill   Jun 24, 2008

I'm living in this dark cave
with a few lights here or there.
So alone, so cold, so alone, so cold..
is anybody there?

Can my blood wipe clean these mistakes?
May I fall down so that I may climb?
Passionate red in which i rejoice;
here i lie, rejoicing in my crime.

Because I'm living in a black hole,
reaching up towards the stars.
I need a Savior, here today;
need this slate wiped clean of scars.

-----------------------------------------

And He reaches down,
pulled into His embrace,
saved once again
by His loving embrace.

He sheds his blood,
so that I may be clean.
Dear Savior's redemption,
my scars now unseen.

Because He reached far down,
saved me from that sorry place,
starlight and sunshine are mine,
safe in His living grace.
